PETITION OF SEVERANCE And BANISHMENT

By the iron will I bear, by the old laws and the sharp edge of Justice, I command this bond to be undone.
You who come between what is true, you who crawl where you were not invited, hear now: be cut away, be cast out, be made unworthy of what you crave.

[Name of interloper], return to the hovels of your making, go back to the shadows that suit you. Your touch is poison, your presence a stain, your appetite misplaced. You will find no comfort upon the path that leads to my love.

Let cold indifference grow where once there was warmth. Let disgust and distance become the ground between them, let passion leach away into emptiness, let memory sour and fade. Let every whisper and promise you offered turn to ash upon your tongue.

By bone, by root, by iron law, I bind this command: separate them. I bind the feet of the intruder from my threshold, I bind their tongue from sweet speech, I bind their hand from reaching. Let their want be denied, their desires rerouted to that which is their own. Let them be compelled to withdraw, to stumble back unto their own ruin and shame.

If they return, let them find nothing, if they call, let the call be swallowed by night. If they seek to meddle, let their path be tangled, let confusion and mischance follow them like hounds. Not by foolish malice, but by righteous severance, I close this door.

As I will it, so it is done. Ash to ash, wall to wall, distance to distance. Let the binding hold. Let the parting be final.
